Come and join us for a fun and creative workshop led by one of Sailors Jail Gallery’s artists and team members, Charlie Barnett!

Discover the fascinating world of Cornish folklore while learning the art of lino block printing. In this 2-hour workshop, Charlie will guide you through the basics of lino printing, helping you design, carve and print your very own folklore-inspired cards.

Along the way, Charlie will share some fascinating tales, quirky facts and local legends from Cornwall’s rich folklore, providing plenty of inspiration for your creations. From mythical creatures to mysterious characters, you'll have the chance to bring a little Cornish magic to life through print!

This workshop is beginner-friendly and takes place at the back of our vibrant shop in the workspace area. All materials are provided, and you'll leave with your own hand-printed cards to take home. Inspo images and text will be at hand.

We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy! :)

We love bringing a chill vibe to our workshops. Feel free to bring a drink or snacks. Kettle and microwave available! 

Location: Sailors Jail Gallery, 4 Quay Street, Falmouth, TR113HH. The workshop will take place in our dedicated workspace at the back of the gallery.

Arrival: Please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes before the workshop begins so we can get everyone settled and ready to start.

Booking: Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. Please ensure you provide a valid email address and contact telephone number when booking, so we can get in touch with you about any important updates regarding your workshop.

Cancellations & Refunds: If you are unable to attend, please let us know at least 3 days (72 hours) before the workshop for a full refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 72 hours of the workshop are non-refundable, unless we are able to fill your space. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Minimum Numbers: Please note that this workshop requires a minimum number of participants to go ahead. Sailors Jail Gallery reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the workshop if insufficient bookings are received. In this unlikely event, all participants will be contacted and offered a full refund or the option to transfer to a rearranged date.

Delivery (Digitally Printed Products)

Our digitally printed products (eg. prints, t-shirts, tea towels and cushions) are printed on demand by one of our worldwide print partners, and shipped directly to you. Production time is approximately 3-5 business days, plus 3-5 days for delivery.

Delivery (All Other Products)

We aim to dispatch items within 2-3 business days using either Royal Mail or DHL recorded delivery. Delivery times are approximately 2-3 business days in the UK, 5-7 business days in Europe, and 8-10 business days worldwide.

Shipping & Customs (International Orders)

For international orders, please note that shipping costs do not include any import duties, taxes, or customs fees. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are determined by your local customs authority.

To help ensure a smooth delivery, please make sure your email address and phone number are included with your order, as couriers may require this information for customs clearance.

Original artworks are often exempt from import duty and may be subject to a reduced rate of tax in some countries. However, regulations vary, so we recommend checking with your local customs office for the most accurate information before purchasing.

Refund Policy

If you are a UK customer and are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. We will be happy to provide you with a full refund or exchange, minus any delivery charges. Please note that original artworks, products printed to order, or any sales from outside of the UK, are NOT eligible for returns/refunds.

All items must be returned to us in its original condition and packaging. We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange if the item is not returned in its original condition. The buyer is responsible for return delivery costs.
